F1: Toro Rosso replaces Bourdais for Hungary

After weeks of speculation surrounding the Toro Rosso camp, the team confirmed Thursday the immediate departure of driver Sebastien Bourdais.f1_bourdais

Bourdais joined Toro Roso in 2008, after clinching a historic fourth title in the American Champ Car series. In his first season in Formula One the Frenchman struggled scoring just four points, and was overshadowed by team mate Sebastian Vettel.

At the halfway point of 2009 season Bourdais has failed to qualify higher than 14th and scored just two points from his eighth-place finishes at the Australian and the Monaco Grand Prix.
