Azusa, Calif. - - Short notice, but the quickest ever diesel-powered racing truck, the Banks Power S-10, is scheduled to go after a new NHRDA (National Hot Rod Diesel Association) quarter mile record at Speedworld Dragstrip in Whittmann, Arizona this Saturday, October 4.

The twin-turbocharged GM Duramax-engined machine currently holds title as the quickest and fastest pickup truck in the quarter-mile (taking only an astonishing 7.723 seconds and clocking a breath-taking 179.21 miles-per-hour in the process).

Gates open for the single day (Saturday) event at 9am, with qualifying from 10am until noon, and elimination rounds start at 1pm.
