After experiencing a disappointing and extremely rare DNF at the Best in the Desert HENDERSON’S TERRIBLE “400” on December 1st, Randy Merritt and the Mongo Racing felt confident that they had sorted out a few gremlins on the KC HiLiTES Ford F-150. “We used this event as a ‘test race’ in preparation for the start of next season, and I think we have all the info we need” Randy said after the race.
Randy and the hard working Mongo Racing Team were the defending 2006 Champions in the Stock Production Full-Size Pickup class. While 2007 didn’t turn out to be a repeat year, it did provide valuable information and experience to build on for the future.
With the 2007 season behind them, Mongo Racing looks forward to the first race on the Best in the Desert 2008 schedule, the classic BLUEWATER RESORT & CASINO PARKER “425”, February 1, 2, 3, along the banks of Colorado river in Parker, Arizona.
