HENDERSON’S TERRIBLE 400 DESERT RACE RETURNS FOR 6th YEAR

Premier desert race decides best of the best for 2007

(Henderson, NV) – It’s that time of year to get down and dirty with the best of them! The Henderson’s Terrible 400 Desert Race returns for its 6th year to the Eldorado Valley, located between Henderson and Boulder City, on Saturday, December 1. Over 30 classes of series championships will compete for the final trophy of the year as the Best in the Desert six-race series comes to an end.

Considered the fastest course in the Best in the Desert race series, the Henderson’s Terrible 400 Desert Race is presented by Best in the Desert Racing Association, the City of Henderson, Herbst Gaming and the City of Boulder City and features over 200 cars, trucks, buggies, motorcycles and ATVs. Over 80 miles of race course will challenge drivers, riders and race teams as they try to complete five full laps through the McCullough Mountain Range in the Eldorado Valley.

“The Henderson’s Terrible 400 Desert Race provides a unique experience for race enthusiasts compared to other races in the Las Vegas valley,” said Bud Pico, Program Manager. “The race is free for spectators, providing the ultimate opportunity for fans to cheer for their favorite drivers in an exhilarating atmosphere.”

Additionally, race enthusiasts will enjoy free ancillary events taking place in the Water Street District in downtown Henderson from November 29 – December 2. Some events include a Street Party with vehicle displays on Thursday evening, live concert on Friday, race all day Saturday and an awards ceremony on Sunday morning.
