Cadiente #38 and Whitton #39 Lead G&R Racing to 39th SCORE Baja 500 in Ensenada, Baja California

For Immediate Release

Mesa, Arizona (May 23, 2007) Driving the #38 SCORE Trophy Truck from the seventh spot amongst an elite field of 39 race trucks, Garron Cadiente is prepared for the race of his life. The endurance athlete has prepared for this race like no other, as he will utilize his extreme physical conditioning and mental preparation in combination with his award-winning driving talent, to tackle this year’s 39th SCORE Baja 500.

Cadiente’s peak physical conditioning does not come without a price. Early morning workouts and the intense rigors of physical training are balanced with his busy family and the successful business he oversees in Mesa, Arizona.

G&R Racing burst into the off road racing scene two years ago and they have proved they are the real deal after capturing victories in Baja and the United States.

Cadiente was awarded the SCORE Rookie of the Year in 2006 and his march towards the winner’s circle continues. Currently, he sits in fourth position in the 2007 SCORE championship series point’s race, a mere 13 points behind two racers tied for the lead.

“Racing a two-truck team in Mexico requires a tremendous support crew and our young team has made big strides in the last couple years. Ron and I preran the race course several times in each of our prerunner trucks and this year’s race is going to challenge the best. I’ve been working hard on my physical conditioning and this race will separate the men from the boys. We will only stop once for fuel and tires and our team has practiced extensively in hopes to turning out a NASCAR style quick and precise pit stop. Passing is going to be especially tough at this race, so positioning on the race course is paramount and that requires a mistake-free race,” stated a grinning Cadiente.

Challenged by the 420.11 miles of defiant Baja race course, Cadiente and Whitton will race against a SCORE-record of over 525 official entries in the third race of the six-round 2007 SCORE Desert Series.

“Racing in Baja is great. This is the second race of the three SCORE Baja races and I really enjoy the atmosphere and the challenge that the Baja Peninsula affords us. Garron and I have prerun a few times during the past couple weeks and I feel comfortable getting into the Geiser Brothers-built #39 trophy truck for what I anticipate is a clean run to the finish line,” said a smiling Ron Whitton.

G&R Racing will display their race trucks and race hauler at Hotel Villa Marina in Ensenada in the days leading up to the race. Fans are encouraged to visit G&R Racing headquarters for the latest G&R Racing swag.
