BANKS S-10 DURAMAX DIESEL DRAG TRUCK LOOKING TO SET NEW NHRDA RECORD

SPEEDWORLD DRAGSTRIP - WHITTMANN, ARIZONA

Azusa, Calif. - - Short notice, but the quickest ever diesel-powered racing truck, the Banks Power S-10, is scheduled to go after a new NHRDA (National Hot Rod Diesel Association) quarter mile record at Speedworld Dragstrip in Whittmann, Arizona this Saturday, October 4.

The twin-turbocharged GM Duramax-engined machine currently holds title as the quickest and fastest pickup truck in the quarter-mile (taking only an astonishing 7.723 seconds and clocking a breath-taking 179.21 miles-per-hour in the process).

Gates open for the single day (Saturday) event at 9am, with qualifying from 10am until noon, and elimination rounds start at 1pm. This appearance will be the 1,200 horsepower Banks S-10’s first at an NHRDA event and there’s been a great deal excitement in the diesel racing world on that news!
