MAKITA IS NOW THE OFFICIAL POWER TOOL OF CHAMPIONSHIP OFF ROAD RACING

Newport Beach, CA (May 6, 2008) — Makita U.S.A., Inc. has become the Official Power Tool Sponsor

of Championship Off Road Racing™ (CORR). CORR™ is proud to introduce Makita to the world of

short course off road racing.



"When it comes to closed course off road racing, CORR is pure adrenaline," said Brent Withey,

Makita Senior Brand Manager. "It has the best drivers and the best action. We're excited to be the

Official Power Tool sponsor of this high-octane race series."



Makita power tools will be the only tools used by the CORR’s technical crew on race weekends.



“The CORR technical staff has always revered the Makita brand as having the highest quality of

craftsmanship and performance, so it was an easy decision to have them joins us as a sponsor,”

said Tony Vanillo, CORR Competition Director.



In addition to Makita’s sponsorship of the series they will also be a sponsor on Team LeDuc Racing.

Both sponsorships are an extension of the brand’s growing presence in live race events.



Championship Off Road Racing™ brings high action, four wheel motorsports including 2 wheel drive

and 4 wheel drive trucks to the closed course off road arena. The 2008 Championship Off Road Racing’s

race season includes eight events at tracks located in Los Angeles, CA, San Diego, CA and Primm, NV.
