DIXON BROS. WIN CLASS 7100 AT BEST IN THE DESERT’S ‘LAS VEGAS 300’

Jean, NV- October 6, 2007: Aaron Dixon, with Ed Ramirez in
the navigator’s seat, drove the Dixon Bros. Racing #7177 Ford Ranger
to the Class 7100 victory, on October 6th, at Best in the Desert racing
Association’s ‘Las Vegas 300’ in Jean, Nevada. After leading most of
the race the win virtually assures the Dixon Bros. of the 2007 Class
7100 points championship in Best in the Desert’s Silver State Series.
With only one race remaining on the 2007 BitD racing schedule, the
finish gives the Dixon Bros. a commanding lead of 102 points in the
race for the Class 7100 points title. “We had a perfect day,” said team
owner, Aaron Dixon. “I drove the truck about 80% and beat everyone by about 20min. That win also wrapped up the
Class 7100 Championship for us and we only have to start the Henderson race to make it official.”
The Dixon Bros. have had their share of frustrations this year, having overcome problems at the first three races
to record second, third and fourth place finishes while working in their Lompoc, California shop between events to get
their new 2007 Ford Ranger 2WD truck dialed in. The team’s consistency has been the main factor that put them in the
lead for the class points championship and this win assures that they will finish on top. “It looks like we got all of the
little problems fixed”, said Aaron Dixon after the race. “It was great to finally realize our truck’s potential.”
Dixon Bros Racing has been a family effort since the beginning. Brothers Aaron and Ian share the driving duties
while Jim Dixon (father) helps prep the vehicles and support the race team in the pits. The other side of Dixon Bros
Racing would be the Ramirez Family. Manny and Andrea Ramirez,
their Sons Ed and Phil, and grandson Andrew all help out from Codriving
and working on the race truck to firing up the BBQ after a long
day on the course. Racing wouldn’t be possible without the Ramirez’s
support.
We also want to thank our corporate partners, Amsoil Lubricants,
Deaver Spring Company, Ford Truck Motorsports, Goodyear
Tire & Rubber, Premier Racing Products (PRP), Racer-X Motorsports,
Radflo Suspension Technology and Off Road Warehouse (ORW). Without
their help and participation, our success this year would not have been possible.
The last race on the 2007 Dixon Bros. Racing Schedule is Best in the Desert Racing Association’s ‘Henderson’s
Terrible 400’, Nov 30-Dec 2 in Henderson, Nevada. The Dixon Bros.are looking forward to closing out their season
at Henderson and hope to put the #7177 Ford Ranger in the winner’s circle for the second consecutive time.
